Sanpark - substance abuse, detox & rehabilitation programmes
Sanpark is a leader in the development of innovative substance abuse, detox and rehabilitation programmes and is at the cutting edge of new developments in program delivery. It has been delivering treatment and prevention services since 1960.
The Multi Professional Team consists of a Medical Doctor, Professional Nurses, Social Workers, Therapists and a Clinical Psychologist, with an average of 15 years experience in the field of substance abuse. They are highly qualified and dedicated. Provision is made for the various psychosocial problems and their solutions.
Inpatient Treatment
Inpatient treatment is for a period of three weeks (21 days).
The program covers the following main areas:
- Withdrawal Management
- Assessment, situation analysis and enhancement of motivational levels
- Development of coping and life skills
- Development of relapse prevention strategies
Out - Patient Treatment
The out patient program runs over a period of nine-weeks that consists of 16 therapeutic sessions.
The treatment consists of:
- A detoxification period of three days in the clinic.
- Two group sessions once a week for nine weeks.
- Two individual interviews.
- The relapse prevention model is also used in this program
Support For Significant Others
The purpose of this program is to offer support to the patient's significant others, as they were also severely influenced by the addicted family member. The strengthening approach (psycho-fortology) is utilized here. This program is offered free of charge.After care Program
Is presented for 12 months after rehabilitation at no extra costs. Our success rate increases remarkably when after care is attended regularly (81% success rate). Attendance of this program is free of charge.
Pre-Treatment Support
A support group program is currently being launched in six districts in the North West Province, for support of alcohol and drug abusers and/or their families. The six districts are: Kudumane, Vryburg, Mogwase, Zeerust, Klerksdorp and Ventersdorp.
