Pevonia Tropicale De-aging body wraps at the Radisson

Summer is around the corner and what better way to get rid of aging, tired-looking, winter skin than with a fresh-smelling de-aging body wrap. Bonus, if its fruity smells transport you to a tropical oasis for an hour or two.

ONEwellness SpaONEwellness at The Radisson has just launched their new Pevonia range. It is a deliciously indulgent eco-friendly range of youth-prolonging body therapies. The product itself is focused on nourishing and repairing skin, counteracting premature aging and sun damage. Just the help we need to get our bodies ready for summer.

ONEwellness SpaThe Pevonia Tropicale de-aging experience comes in two forms. For mature skin there is the Papaya-Pineapple Body Wrap which smoothes and firms skin using calcium, magnesium, a high dose of Vitamin A and a measure of collagen. The Mango-passion fruit Yogurt Body Wrap is ideal for younger skin and is rich in citric acids, potassium and calcium. It is also infused with the repairing power of Vitamin C. So, you have a choice of either firming and brightening up dull, tired-looking skin or fighting wrinkles, to get your body in shape for the bikini.

The products are result driven and they actually work. Skin looks and feels smoother and vividly brighter. But the real treat is the experience itself. The smells of vanilla and tropical fruits create a sensory escape; a deeply relaxing feeling. The texture of the product is super smooth on your skin and its application is a treat in itself.

Both treatments start with a Pevonia Tropicale scrub to get rid of old, dead skin cells. The sensory experience starts here. The salty scrub is washed off and your skin is covered in a silky smooth, fruity wrap. Next, the body is wrapped in foil-like material and you relax while the product works on your skin and at the same time, relaxes muscle tension. After the wrap is washed off, they rub a body balm made of Shea butter and anti-aging ingredients over treated skin. The smell of the balm is delicious and stays with you throughout the day.

ONEwellness SpaOnly a few of SA's top Spas carry the Pevonia range, and in Cape Town the ONEwellness flagship spa at the Radisson is where to go to experience the fruity treat. This unisex day-spa won the coveted 'Best Hotel Spa of the Year' award for 2008, in the 4th annual Les Nouvelles Esthetiques South Africa Spa Awards. It's spacious, tranquil and not overly feminine. Good news for women who want to take their partners with.

The spa has a variety of multi-functional treatment rooms and some rooms cater specifically for body treatments and others for touch therapies. They also have a vitality pool and deck and a sleep room for extra relaxation. Their signature treatment is the OneJourney experience. This treatment is similar to the Arabella in Kleinmond's Rain Forest experience. It focuses on heat, ice, steam, hydrotherapy and chromo therapy to improve the body's blood circulation and leave you feeling refreshed.

ONEwellness SpaONEwellness offers beauty treatments but their focus is on the body and health. It is the perfect serene space to experience Pevonia's tropical treatments. Our advice: the easy, no-fuss way to get ready for summer this year is to sign-up for a few slimming treatments and end the regime with Pevonia's Tropical de-aging body experience. Not only will you shed a few kilos but your firm, vibrant skin will be the envy of all your friends.
