When driving to Limelight Spa one can almost not imagine there could be a fully fledged spa in the middle of a residential area. Soon enough though, thanks to a few cleverly placed markers, you arrive in front of quite an impressive building. That’s when you realise that Limelight spa has positioned itself as a destination.

The spa is spaciously laid out with interesting decorative touches and very friendly staff. It is a destination not only for the luxuries of spa and wellness treatments, but also for the necessities of beauty treatments and personal grooming. A sense of lavishness and luxury is created with ample space and many rooms which go a long way to remove the clutter of everyday stresses. It is most definitely a destination for a private escape or an experience shared with someone special – perhaps even a group event.

On my visit, I was treated first to a top to toe body scrub with luxurious Thalgo product in one of the five treatment rooms. It was a tranquil experience with soothing music and wonderful smells. This treatment room not only had twin beds for that special shared experience, but it also had a private hydro bath. After the body scrub I was whisked off to the private steam room that also boasts a jet shower. The detoxifying benefits of the steam room were followed up by a wonderful full body massage. Again, the level of relaxation of the experience was heightened by the tranquil music piped through the central sound system.

One of the most remarkable aspects of Limelight is how obvious it is that no expense had been spared to ensure only the best facilities are at the guests' disposal. From hydro baths, to jet showers, a steam room and central music, all creating an amazing feeling of indulgence and luxury. The plentiful rooms of the establishment make it easy to envisage larger scale events such as a wedding preparation party or a corporate retreat. The room I received my facial in after the massage, established the perfect atmosphere for professional beauty treatments.

As the ideal accompaniment for the venue, I was served a healthy lunch in a dining area with a beautiful view. From there I was taken to a dedicated manicure and pedicure area, spacious, professional and extremely well equipped. With all the wonderful and indulgent facilities coupled with the therapists' expertise, world class products, and professionalism, Limelight truly creates a retreat even if it's simply for a routine treatment. It soon becomes obvious this facility is innovatively put together and managed with great attention to detail. There has clearly been no expense spared to ensure vastness and quality in the grounds and facilities. Once inside the secure grounds, one is tempted to forget life goes on, on the other side of the wall.

When recollecting the indulgent escape I was treated to at Limelight that special Friday morning, one thing seems to be certain, that this destination will continue to evolve and develop and so ensure clients truly escape and their experience remains novel of the highest standards.
