Established in 1989, Idle Winds is a country style venue for conferences, weddings and other functions. Only 30 minutes drive from any point in Gauteng and winner of many coveted awards, the restaurant makes every meal a relaxing experience.

The lodge consists of 23 comfortable double or twin rooms, plus a honeymoon suite. The rooms surround a garden and large water feature and all have en-suite showers or bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities and M Net.

Beautiful gardens with water features abound throughout the property, thus contributing to a feeling of calm and tranquillity. A health, wellness and beauty centre has now been opened and a brand new 5 star health spa will be opening by early 2007 and 27 new rooms are also planned to be open by the same date, including five luxury suites.

The Restaurant has become known as one of the top country restaurants in Gauteng. It offers a truly international cuisine, and is complimented by a well-stocked wine cellar. There is also the Wagon Wheel pub, where customers can enjoy a drink, pub meals, pool and darts.

Idle Winds is an exclusive country venue, specialising in hosting that special wedding day. Idle Winds offers a complete service including a chapel set in magnificent gardens, a choice of venue and a guest lodge.
