What are the costs?
The costs are as follows:
The voucher values (eg. a R 200 voucher)
5% admin fee (minimum of R25)
R 39.00 - Courier Delivery (2 working days)
Can I buy a Gift Certificate(s) and decide the beneficiary(ies) later?

Can I buy a Gift Certificate for less than the recommended amount of R500?
Yes, this is only a recommended amount. But you need to know that the administration charge (5% of the certificate value) is set at a minimum of R25.
How much should I make the value of the Gift Certificate?
As treatment and package prices vary from spa to spa, we have put together a price guide-line:
- Pamper Treatments: R150.00 – R600.00
- ½ Day Packages: R400.00 – R1 000.00
- Full Day Packages: R800.00 – R2 000.00
- 1 Night Packages: R2 500.00 – R4 000.00
- Weekend Packages: R3 000.00 – R6 000.00
Can I ask for 'same day' delivery?
No. BUT we can deliver a pro-forma Gift Certificate by email or fax and later deliver the actual Gift Certificate by courier. The ORIGINAL certificate contains the voucher number, which is needed when making a booking through our Bookings Office.
Can I buy two or more Gift Certificates in a single online transaction?
Yes, the system used is similar to an online shopping cart in that you can keep adding to your order. Once you have finished adding vouchers to your order simply click on the "checkout" button to proceed to the payment page. To start placing your order click here
Can I give my Gift Certificate to another person?
Yes, the certificate IS transferable (for example to a member of your family or a friend).
I have lost my Gift Certificate, can it be replaced?
Yes. Fax us on SA 086 655 1359 INT +27 31 209 5494 or email shelley@healthspas.co.za with the details of the lost certificate. Shelley will cancel the existing certificate and send you a replacement. The cost of doing so is R50. For security reasons the voucher will be re-sent to the address we have on file for this voucher/order.
Can I exchange my Gift Certificate for cash?
No it can only be exchanged for accommodation or services at spas that participate in the Health Spas Guide Gift Certificate programme.
What if the spa I want to visit is not part of the programme?
Sorry, but you cannot use your Gift Certificate at such a spa. WE DO encourage you to email us, letting us know the name of the spa. We will then invite them to join the programme.
Which spas participate in the Gift Certificate programme?

Can you guarantee delivery on a specific day?
Yes, we hand to courier on Day 1 and the courier company delivers it on Day 2. We are, of course in the hands of the courier company. When you reach the "confirmation page", (Step 3), simply select from the provided drop-down list the date you want the voucher delivered. Please note: No delivery on weekends or public holidays.
How long does it take to deliver gift certificates?
Overnight by courier (if ordered before noon).
I want to order 100 Gift Certificates to give to my staff /customers. What do I do?
Email Shelley or phone her and tell her of your requirements and we will get back to you. You can also use the current online "bulk orders" system to purchase the vouchers - to do so click here.
When do you despatch orders?
Only on working days. Same day if received before noon or the following working day if received after noon or during weekends or public holidays.
I am outside South Africa. Can I make a purchase by credit card?
Yes. Payment is in ZAR Rands. Your credit card will be billed for the equivalent in your local currency. Multi-currency converter.
Is there a reduction in the administration fee if I buy more than one Gift Certificate?
Assuming the total value of the order is in excess of R500 the minimum admin fee falls away and the 5% admin fee (on the total order) applies.
Can I purchase a Gift Certificate for delivery at some future date?
Yes, there is a facility for you to add a specific delivery date. NB: We will do our best to match the delivery date (weekdays only) but as we are in the hands of the courier company we offer no guarantees.
Do you offer a system to remind me to purchase a certificate at a future date?
This feature will be added in the near future.
